No, we haven't been up to the Christmas shop this year. And the next trip will probably be to Indiana instead of North, so most likely we won't make it to the Christmas shop again anytime soon. We do love going to the Frankemuth, Michigan area though.

LOL! One of my sons was in Prague, Czech Republic earlier this month. He posted a photo of him drinking mead in some big mug. The caption underneath stated that he was imagining himself to be a Viking having just sacked and pillaged a Czech town, and celebrating. (We have Viking roots)

It's fairly difficult to trace Danish ancestry very far back. The last names keep changing. My great-grandmother was a cousin of the king of Sweden. One of our former pastors had traced his ancestry back to Eric The Red.

That store is huge! Sometimes the crowds are pretty thick.

There's probably a lot of wishful thinking in that ancestral lineage. Accurate records in Scandinavia before the 1600s are nearly non-existent. I'm Norwegian and spent several years in intensive genealogical research.
I met one fellow who was sure he could trace his ancestry to all the famous kings and all the way back to Adam.
