I hope so Daniel, not only for the Perrys but also for the Hoppers, Lesters, Nelons, Hayes Family, Hemphills, Hinsons, Downings, Freemans, McKameys, Paynes, Rambos, Whisnants, Talleys, Lordsong, Greenes, Crabb Family and the countless other mixed groups/trios that have contributed so much to Southern Gospel Music.

On a side note, Connie Hopper should be close to getting her place in the Southern Gospel hall of fame.

Seaton,

I just don't see 20 mixed groups being ranked as high as the Cathedrals, Gold City, Statesmen, and Blackwood Brothers. One or two might make it to being thought of that way, but not all of them.

on the 4th i heard the debut performance of Annie Mcrae's new trio in Cecilia Ky. they were a little nervous at first but after a few songs they settled down . It looks like they're gonna have a good blend.

Last night I had the pleasure to hear the Galloways. I really had not heard much about this group so I did not know what to expect. I can tell you they did one very good concert. It was a spirt filled evening. I hope to be able to see them again very soon.

We saw Kirk Talley last night. What a voice! And what a personality! It was a very small crowd, so he was able to be informal and we loved it. As expected, he gave a little insight on the extreme hurt we can cause when we "judge" each other. Several friends that were able to help him through his time of crisis were there and he was able to thank them. Very moving evening.

Is Stacey Murphy still with them? I thought he disbanded the group a year ago.

I saw Triumphant two times last week --- can't get too much of them!! One was a Christmas concert and the other was a regular concert appearance. (Their new video is supposed to be coming out at the beginning of January. I was there for the taping in August and I can't wait to get the DVD! )

I'll be seeing Mercy's Mark, New Ground, and Brian Free & Assurance this weekend. YAY!!!!!

I finally get to add a concert to my schedule...the Mark Trammell Trio in late January, weather permitting!

The only way to get to the town where they'll be performing is narrow country roads, which would make going in the event of a blizzard not only unsafe but foolhardy. So here's hoping for good weather on January 26!

I went and saw Ricky Atkinson & Compassion last night in Taylorsville, NC. I have seen them before but boy did the Lord really move on that service last night. I am sitting at work today and still can hardly contain myself. I love attending concerts of all types, but it sure is nice when the Lord moves and lives are changed. Thank you Ricky Atkinson & Compassion for showcasing Jesus and not yourselves. I am Blessed!!

They should assemble an all-star quartet with Brian on tenor, Josh on lead, Garry (I guess - toss-up) on baritone, and Christian on bass and sing a few classics. :)

That would be great. Or even better - - combine both groups and do different combinations of the four parts on different songs! I wouldn't want to leave out any of the singers on those two groups!

Is Mercy's Way a trio right now, or is Harold Gilley (or some other bass) out on the road with them?
