Question for those who only track fluid: when do you consider it "safe"? Is it when the fluid is white and chunky, or when it is totally gone?

I think I need a new thermometer. The only one I can find in a local store is one from walgreens... which is the type that I already own. It had to be returned 2 times before I found one that the battery seemed to work for. Now there seems to be something wrong with it, and I don't trust the temps. the things I do like about it are that it reads to the hundreths, and it stores temps, and it beeps when turned on, finished, and turned off. Other than that I don't know of anything that would be important to me in a thermometer. Any suggestions on types/brands/places for a new one?

the only one at our walgreens is white with a pink end, and it says "walgreen's" on it. It's encased and then wrapped in plastic. The only way to turn it on is to take it out of the package, and then out of it's hard case, and turn it on. I don't think it comes from that. I should look at a different walgreens. I've already tried HEB (grocery store), walmart, walgreens, and CVS. Where else should I look? The people at walmart looked at me like I'd lost my mind when I said I wanted a basal body thermometer. In fact walgreens was the only place who knew what I was looking for.

hmm... I looked online at walmart, and they have one. One of our major complaints is that this one is currently taking between 3 and 5 minutes to say it's done. That and the one number isn't quite always all the way there. It should say something like 97.5, but most of the time it looks as though it says 91.5 or whatever. The first time it did that David looked at me and said, "are you ALIVE??" "Are you feeling ok??" Anyway, I'm probably going to go to another walmart (that the website said had the thermometers in stock) and see if they have them.... or if I can get more strange looks.

They should be in the family planning section, along with the... uhh... contraceptives.

I found mine at Rite Aid and it was in the baby section (with baby hygiene items like the bulb asperator, mini nail clippers, medicine dropper, etc.). Mine is purple, reads to the hundreth, and seems fairly quick.

ORIGINAL: ta_mosquito Mine's pink and reads to the tenth. I think I got it through CCLI. It beeps as it's temping and beeps when it's done reading, and beeps when it turns off. This is the one I have. Maybe check the ccli website and see if you can order just a thermometer. I know you can order just charts.

I'd check Wal-Mart again. That's where I got mine and no one had a clue what I was talking about when I asked for one. They took me to the thermometer section (which didn't have any), but I eventually found it on my own in the baby health section with the wipes, ear drops and teething gel.

yeah, I looked all over our walmart, and there is none to be found. BUT when I looked it up online it gave me 3 other walmarts within 10 miles of here that do say they have it in stock. I'll just go to one of them to look. =)

Okay, well I am still not doing well with my charting at all. But anyway, I still look/feel for the mucus. Since having Mary I have had three cycles and they have been about 3 weeks apart. However, I have not ever seen any EWCM. I've had plenty of days of "lubrication" but never any stretchy/sticky/tacky. Any thoughts on this?

Hmm...get some opk's and find out for sure if you're ovulating or if you're having anovulatory (sp) cycles?

(okay, now I'm really going to show my true ignorance about the female body) If you're bleeding, aren't you ovulating? (I'm thinking this may have been discussed here before, but I'm not sure, so sorry if this is a repeat.)

I'm pretty sure its possible to be cycling (ie bleeding) but not necessarily ovulating, especially after a pregnancy. I don't know all of the possible ins and outs, so hopefully someone who does will read this and know more than I do.

It is possible to bleed without having ovulated, I only ovulate maybe half the time from low progesterone (sp). The Dr. told me that if you don't ovulate your body will eventually just shed the blood/lining anyway.

Does/can the bleeding still occur in a normal monthly cycle pattern?
