Anybody watch this last night? Thoughts? Just a summer fling or will they renew for the fall like they did The 4400?

Random -> RE: Eureka! (7/19/2006 12:06:49 PM)

Taped it -- I'll probably watch it tomorrow since we have small group tonight.

phosadaud -> RE: Eureka! (7/19/2006 2:25:49 PM)

I wanted to but forgot. Can't wait to hear if it was any good. The commercials made it look quite intriguing.

SciFiGirl -> RE: Eureka! (7/19/2006 5:01:10 PM)

I forgot all about it! Anyone know if it'll show again?

Well, from tv.yahoo.com

Sun Jul 23 02:00am CDT
Sun Jul 23 03:30pm CDT
Mon Jul 24 10:00pm CDT

(and Stargate SG-1 True Science reairs Fri Jul 21 05:00pm CDT)

doinkdom -> RE: Eureka! (7/19/2006 5:17:34 PM)

It was a two-hour premier and then down to one hour episodes.

It's gonna be a lighter based x-files...sorta...maybe...with the conspiracy and the weird science stuff. A few relational things thrown in for good measure. There were a couple of really quirky characters, which had me laughing several times.

Post your thoughts when you see it.

nathan1011 -> RE: Eureka! (7/19/2006 6:33:42 PM)

Ya'll can watch the two hour pilot episode at scifi.com like I just did.
Nathan

kiraalt -> RE: Eureka! (7/20/2006 7:29:14 PM)

I watched the premier and thought it was pretty good for the kind of show it is. I liked the main characters. I think it shows promise and will most likely continue to tune in.

Random -> RE: Eureka! (7/21/2006 10:23:46 PM)

Pretty good, but not great. I think the pilot was maybe a little jumbled b/c they had so many characters to introduce. I plan to keep watching for a while, so how it goes.

Faun_Tumnus -> RE: Eureka! (7/22/2006 5:27:47 PM)

Oh rats, I thought this was going to be a thread about the short PBS cartoons from the 80's...

I loved them.

Yeah...there were a lot...but the previews for upcoming episodes did look promising. I will continue to check it out as well.

Hello...my name is doinkdom and I am a sci-fi junky.[sm=vikingsmile.gif]

phosadaud -> RE: Eureka! (7/24/2006 3:15:12 PM)

It ran again yesterday - I didn't catch all of it, but I think it shows a lot of promise. And it didn't freak me out like the x-files always did (what can I say - I have a VERY vivid imagination!)

stateofgrace -> RE: Eureka! (7/24/2006 3:21:16 PM)

I wasn't impressed...but I'll monitor the thread to track what y'all think about it...

doinkdom -> RE: Eureka! (7/24/2006 3:33:14 PM)

I'm definitely on the fence, but it comes on at a time when nothing else does...so...I'll be watching for now. Or at least till the new fall season takes off.

I'm gonna go see if anyone has started a thread about that other one called Jericho - looks like a cc of the 4400 for sure.

doinkdom -> RE: Eureka! (7/27/2006 10:32:26 AM)

This week's episode...hmmm...a little too convenient to have both characters back. The wife's story was interesting, but not an entire show's worth.

And what about Sarah? I guess he'll have to learn to call if he's going to be late for dinner?[:D]

godsown -> RE: Eureka! (8/1/2006 10:17:38 PM)

Well, tonight's episode was pretty good! I enjoyed the asian actress as she realized what was going on, and how she played the hurt, confusion, anger, and betrayal when she realized what had been done to her. This show is getting better, showing real promise.

phosadaud -> RE: Eureka! (8/1/2006 10:34:07 PM)

I also enjoyed tonight's episode. So far it seems to be just a fun, kick back and be entertained type show. Sometimes I really need that!

figmentPez -> RE: Eureka! (8/2/2006 12:26:39 AM)

I don't think I've seen memory erasure used in quite this method before in SF. This episode was quite intriguing. I also thought that "A Midsummer Night's Invasion" was funny.

doinkdom -> RE: Eureka! (8/2/2006 10:11:56 AM)

Yes! I thought last night's epi was great. Finally, something to work with.[;)] It actually played out well.

The whole Midsummer Nights Invasion was pretty entertaining.

And I still like the idea of Sarah.

phosadaud -> RE: Eureka! (8/2/2006 11:33:53 AM)

I laughed out loud at the "instructions" to put together the tentacled costume..... [:D]

angie4God -> RE: Eureka! (8/2/2006 12:19:57 PM)

I'm enjoying this show. It's a cute & fun. Last nights memory erase episode was excellent. Love the sci-fi. Will definitely keep watching.[:)]

babbred -> RE: Eureka! (8/3/2006 5:52:24 PM)

They just showed the premiere here, and I liked it. It's a refreshing change from the endless legal/medical dramas that seem to fill the TV now. I'll keep watching.

Where's "here?" I like the show, the characters are actually developing.

babbred -> RE: Eureka! (8/4/2006 9:02:58 AM)

Great Britain. My husband and I have satellite, so we're able to watch a lot of American shows. In fact, sometimes they're shown over here first, like Battlestar Galactica (another favorite of mine).

phosadaud -> RE: Eureka! (8/23/2006 12:57:38 PM)

Well, I'm really started to enjoy this show. I love the sheriff - I think he has some hilarious lines. I love that kind of humor. Last nights episode was really funny "Why don't you just call it a death ray?" [:D]
