I'm glad you're back at work, Phosy.

Sometimes that can be a good thing.

The masks don't help that much. My mom and cousin are medical assistants and the doctors decided they didn't need to have them wear them with the flu patients.

We had a rather lively discussion in the break room about who should wear the masks - the sick or those not yet sick. Most of us felt it was the sick who should wear the masks because realistically what are the masks going to help? Everyone has already been exposed at this point.

I don't know, you usually don't get the flu twice in a row.

Glad you're feeling better, Phosey. I bet the furries all loved snuggling with you in bed the other day.

I think they may be disappointed that I'm recovering...

I just finished my first run post-flu. It went better than I expected so I was happy about that. I just took it slow and didn't go as far as I wanted to.

I'm excited to have another vacation day as well. I've been working on crochet projects and playing around too much online....

They said on the news today that the masks don't work because the virus is small enough to get through it.

That's what I've always wondered.

Well, I just posted this in the Den, but I just found out from a deputy friend that 2 officers I work with at the jail were just arrested for dealing pot. I'm in total shock. The female officer I didn't know too well as she worked in work release, but the male officer I thought I knew quite well and considered a friend. He's a long time officer and also works day power shift. He has been training me in booking so we have been working closely together the last few weeks and I'm having a hard time comprehending him doing something so stupid. I may not have always agreed with him on stuff, and he could get an attitude but I never doubted his integrity. I'm so sad right now.

That is sad. Not simply disappointing, I would think, but also disheartening. Who can you trust?

So very sad. Scary to think that you might not know someone as well as you think you do.

Exactly. That's what is so hard. We have to trust each other with our very lives... It feels like being betrayed, kicked in the stomach.

Thanks everyone!

Yes, Trish, I'm working on Christmas projects. We'll see how far I get!

I mowed my lawn for the last time (yippee!) this year and am looking forward to a quiet afternoon. I think I may have to make some brownies...

I don't know how you do as much as you do, Phosy. I think at the end of your work days, I'd be collapsing and not wanting to do anything.
