Hi, John, Trish, Pammy, and Summy! Thanks for your kind comments! You really are sweating it out, John. My s-i-l lives in Phoenix. A few weeks ago we bought a long electrical wire so that we could move the computer from a guest room to the dining area. Saturday I finally got to tacking the wire to the wall. We moved the bookcase out, moved the computer in (everything balanced precariously on the desk--speakers, tower, monitor, etc., etc., and a labyrinth of wires ). We made it. Now, move out a little table and place the bookcase there. Move two more pieces of furniture to make room for the table. Move CD player/radio & speakers from bookcase to table, because there's no electrical outlet near the bookcase. More untangling of wires. Table things on to the bookcase. Yesterday I rearranged a myriad of books in a cabinet near the table to make room for CDs. Three days, and it's complete. Now all that's left is to clean out the guest room of papers, etc. A simple decision, wasn't it? Is there a spiritual lesson here?

Hi, Trish, Brendalee and John! Tell us some more about that allegory, Brendalee. John, you always seem interested in how people are doing and if they are getting enough rest. That's very thoughtful! I generally sleep well overall, often wake up several times at night and sometimes sleep straight through if I go to sleep late. I'm doing OK; if it wasn't for allergies I would be doing much better! I'll leave next part of "the story" till tomorrow or later, but will get to it. We had a pleasant diversion at lunchtime today! A friend of the mission who is hosting two of our missionaries from Colombia called us up and asked us all out to lunch. My dh couldn't come because he was at the dr., but a bunch of us went. We sat in a little garden among the brick buildings at a quaint little restaurant where you design your own gourmet sandwich. They give you a form and you check off what you want. It was in the 100+yr.-old downtown of a nearby city. How are y'all doing and what have you been/are you doing today (depending on when you make your next post)?

Hi Joy, everybody. Had a few errands to run today. Overall it's been a quiet day though. Still haven't been feeling terribly well of late. I'll get there though. I hope you all have a great day.

Hi, Dena & Trish! I hopped on over to your thread, Dena. Wow, you are doing all the things that I like to do! I'm so glad you're having such a great time! Well, Trish, things are not too bad. I am still maintaining my regular schedule, except for one day when I finished early and did hardly anything the rest of the day...not even forums but for a few forced posts. Also having to take time out to take my mom to the dr. every day for skin cancer treatments. It's not serious or lifethreatening, just best dealt with. Then Leonard has to come to because of the driving. I can drive OK on freeways and in small towns like ours, but in the larger towns I just can't handle it well, especially if I haven't been in that part before, which I hadn't. Strange, isn't it. That reminds me of a time when we were driving across country, approaching Oklahoma City. Leonard was going to take over the driving before we got there. The city hit us before we knew it. There I was in all that traffic and couldn't even handle the freeways there! So I said I'd stay in that lane and just go where it took us. Leonard could get us out of it afterward! (That was a compliment; he is very good at knowing where to go even if we've never been there, it's uncanny.) We didn't even consult the map, I just drove. We all burst out laughing when I followed that traffic lane out of the city, regardless of where it was going, and we arrived at exactly the place we needed to get off! I tell you, the Lord has given us some fun travel times! He has a great sense of humor along with His goodness and mercy!

Hi Joy! I don't like to drive certain places either, but I did drive us into downtown Salt Lake City one time. Of course that was at around 3:00 AM! I end up being the navigator anywhere we go. We just finished our week of VBS. I had the two year olds. Dee

Hi Dena and Dee! So Dena's going to Portland! Great place, especially in the summer! Our children live there and if we ever should retire that's where my dh wants to go. And Dee's just done a great ministry! I'm sure there are some cute stories to tell from that VBS!
