Hi, Maggie & April, and all who come later!

April, welcome back! Where've ya been?

No bites on the house yet. Our realtor did get one phone inquiry this week, and there's been a lot of hits on the website. Thanks for your prayers, April.

A luau is an Haiwaiian type gathering. It wasn't a true luau, but the food was said to be authentic, and there was one Hawaiian song featured in the entertainment. Those who had what are considered Hawaiian outfits wore them (not grass skirts!!!! ).

I haven't been anywhere except for sitting here (fingers poised over my keyboard) with nothing exciting to say.

Ohhhh, here's something! Spring has finally sprung!

And here is something else.
You are a coffee drinker, aren't you?
I have used Folgers for many years. A few months ago, I decided to sign up for Gevalia coffee. Mainly because I needed a new coffee maker and it was FREE! I figured I could cancel after my first taste and go back to Folgers.
Their coffee is SOOO much better that I don't think I would ever go back to Folgers.

After that very shameful advertisement, it's time to get another cup!

Joy, did you wear a grass skirt and dance the hula at the luau?

Hi, Trish, Maggie, April, and Trishy! Great to see you all! Welcome back to Cyberspace, Trishy!

I think Trishy could explain it better beings she lives there! I'm not a coffee drinker. I used to drink regular coffee it all the time, and then it got to not like me, so I had to go to unleaded. Then I just got tired of it and only drink it when it's served somewhere else, or if I'm in a restaurant on a cold day. I don't even keep a jar at home. I like cappucino but I can't have that much milk and I would never pay those prices to drink it anyway! As a pre-schooler, I used to take a break with my grandma every weekday morning and we would drink coffee. She put some coffee essence in the cup and filled it up with boiling milk. It was good! I almost got tempted with Gevalia in my coffee drinking days, and never followed through. Those ads have stopped coming in the mail, but I do get them on email sometimes. We didn't wear grass skirts or hula at the luau. First we had food, then the young people and a few older folk took part in a talent show. It was a fun time!

I'm not a great coffee drinker either. I used to drink it all the time, but then it got to not like me. On the odd occasion I drink coffee, I pretty much just have a couple of grains of instant coffee in my cup as anything stronger makes me sick. Never drink cappucinos or anything like that. My body just couldn't take it.

Hi Joy!! Just popping in to say "hi!" in here even though I see you regularly "somewhere else".

As you probably recall..(I am going back to the posts I had to catch up on), we painted our living room "Hen House" (dark tan) and one wall of "Ruby Lips" (burgandy). I think it's beautiful and so has everyone who has seen it. They say it "looks rich". Still have to get pictures on the walls though.
We have one on order at the Christian book store that we have been waiting WEEKS for.. they keep saying "maybe it will be here by the end of the week". Grrrrr!

OK...gotta finish getting ready for work and be off!! Going to be a busy weekend! Danielle's wedding is tomorrow and then we have a graduation to go to on Sunday.

Hi, Nicki, Trish, & Sheila!

We are fine, except our little grandson (14 months) has been diagnosed with asthma. He's doing OK though. We're still in CA, Nicki, and waiting on the Lord's timing to come to TX. Like you, I used to drink coffee all the time, Trish! Not any more! Room sounds great, Sheila! It's unusual, and I'd like to see pix! Hope you get that picture soon! And hope everything was wonderful for Danielle and Adam and all of the family and friends today!

I posted in my blog today. Besides that, I've done some laundry, done today's section of a Bible study, and done some reading. One of the two books I'm reading is about President Reagan. It is a serious book with a lot of humor in it also. Learning some surprising things about him.

Joy, what are the doctors doing to help your grandson's asthma?

How long until TX?

Good to see you, too, Mike! You, too, Trish!

The doctors gave Blake a treatment at the office, then two lots of meds. to take when he has an asthma attack.

We don't know how long till TX because we have to sell the house first!

We are getting into hot weather now. Had two days in the 100's in May, now this weekend supposed to be in the 100's, but so far is still in the 90's.

Oh my Joy, it really is about that time for you to be going to Texas now, isn't it? I still keep on thinking sometime next year instead!

Depending on what part of TX you're going to, you might be able to catch up with R8CH. She's moving there.

Hi, Mike & Trish!

Yep, we had hoped for the end of April! We are now waiting on God's perfect timing!

I don't know if we can see Rachel as she is in a different part of TX. But we would not be too far from Trinity_2_persons and Mamabear (do you remember her?).

I thought TX was a pretty hot state too. (?)

You must going to move to the east side of TX? I am guessing since mamabear lives in LA.

Hi, Sheila, Trish, & Mike!

You're right, Sheila, east TX is the plan. It averages 95 degrees in summer, but probably feels heavy, because of the humidity. We were there in May last year, and the atmosphere was not that great, but the place is just fine. Great that you keep in touch with Renee, Mike. Guess you "see" her on MySpace. Sheila and I "see" her on another forum. I will give her your greeting, Trish.

I was on the phone with our daughter, and she gave the phone to the baby--Blake, 15 months. He was trying to make words and I was answering him, and then he said, "I yuv oo," which made my day! So sweet and precious! Katelynn (9) went to have a tooth moved back to allow another to come in, and found she needs more dental work, so will get that done in a couple weeks. Jen sent the dental pictures to me and explained them on the phone while I had them up on the screen. For some reason, I like going to the dentist. Anyone else?

I don't like going to the dentist, but I'm due to go back soon.

How cute about Blake!
