Popping in to say hi to Joy and everyone else! Maggie, thanks for asking about POG. I could only think of the group Point of Grace, and that didn't seem to fit. Dee

I knew POG had something to do with food or drink, but I couldn't remember what. I hope all is well with everybody.

Welcome Slushie, Sarah, Nicole and Dee on your first visit! Welcome back to Maggie, Trish, John & Pammy! Yes, slushie, you can have all the ice cream you can eat. Just tell me what flavors to stock or bring some with ya if you like! This is a happy hogan and we have a no-host food & beverage counter. Help yourself! Thanks for telling Maggie about POG, Sarah! Cyber POG is delicious. Now I have to make the real thing! Trish, hope that your eyes get well enough soon to get that Telecare going again. It's evening again and some of you asked me about yesterday evening and if I slept well and how was today going. Yesterday evening was just kicking back, which is fine once in a while and I slept just fine. Today I got everything done I wanted to do at the office and more as well! Got a call from the blood bank to rush in, so went there to donate. And now I'm here! What kind of conference did you go to in Germany, Pammy? Hope you're recuped! Dee, we get into playing those games on H&G and don't talk a lot! So it's good to see you here and on chat thread! And Nicole, haven't seen you in a while, stay around! I read this Scripture today and yesterday evening in John 12 in The Message: "...anyone who holds on to life just as it is destroys that life. But if you let it go, reckless in your love, you'll have it forever, real and eternal." In their day they used the comparison of "hate" and "love" to show the intensity of that love, but I love this modern day translation of it, which gives us the same comparison--holding on and letting go, and more than that, reckless in loving Jesus!! I can't hold on to this life! It's foolish to try! But I do, in so many ways! I've asked God to make me reckless in loving Him! Letting go of people, things, etc., loving Jesus with abandon sets everything in right perspective. I have to review this so often, to be sure God is first and He often isn't . But then love, the cares of this world and everything good or difficult comes into right sequence--after Him . Reckless love means reckless obedience, too! What would this world be like if all God's people loved and obeyed him recklessly! Wow! I want to! Only by His grace alone can that happen! I'm so thankful He's given us Phil. 1:6 among many other verses of His reckless love for us.

Hello there Joy! quote:
What kind of conference did you go to in Germany, Pammy? Hope you're recuped! It was "No Limits" conference. There were four speakers, with one of them that came from the states. It was based on taking the limits off of God. It was very powerful! They preached on healing, finances, etc. So much was talked about, I'll have to listen to the CD's because taking notes at times, is futile. As for being recoup, I am...for now! quote:

Until I'd come to Crosswalk, I'd never heard of POG or bug juice.

Hi Trish, Trishy, John & Pammy, Yep, it was pretty busy, Trish, but I did have time between to "be a person" as I call it. That means it wasn't going from one thing to another, rush, rush, but just going along and having breaks between to take a breath here and then. Sometimes I just sit and think about specific things. I got introduced to POG on Trishy's thread. Did you drink some for me, Trishy? We can't get generally passion juice here, unless it's mixed with other juices, but I do remember drinking some and loving it. As for bug juice, John, Leonard says that's what he and his buddies called cherry Koolaid. I never did like Koolaid, except the Lemon flavor is not too bad. Sounds like a great conference, Pammy! Yes, we have a great God and we do tend to limit Him, don't we. I like the subjects you mentioned! What were the others? I read in Romans 1 this morning and the main point God impressed on me is that, yes, we have been called to specific ministries, but we have all been called to belong to Jesus. Isn't that just awesome and all the other words in Mike's Cool Thread!! When I think about all that it means, I could write pages. So I will clam up now before I start!! The same with your conference, it almost started me on a roll. So now in my "thinking times" today I will have plenty to think about!!

I have been blessed by your words, in a bitter sweet way - I am eternally grateful to God for leading me here to your page to have me read what you shared because I am struggling with a few things. Putting these things in right order beneath Him is exactly where they belong..........the courage and perserverence come from that reckless love that He has for us....... OoOo - yeah Joy - reminder.........your long story. Where shall you put it?

Hi Dena, Brendalee and Dee! Father, we pray You will comfort, strengthen and teach Brendalee through this difficult time, and thank You for the treasures You are holding out to her. In Jesus' Name. Amen Brendalee, I guess it's only fair to share that story here rather than clutter your or someone else's thread. I'll recap then tell a little at a time. In fact, I'll get the quote from your thread! From Brendalee's thread, post 361, 5/31/06 "Yeppers, they are out there and right, Brendalee, they're not perfect! "One day I got on my knees (in desperation ) and told (not even asked!) the Lord He had to tell me if He had a husband for me or not because I wanted to get on with serving Him. If He didn't have a husband for me then somehow He would have to get me over it. I'm sorry, I can be very adamant--but it works. Well, as I was reading in the OT I was reminded how Israel wanted a king, and God gave them one. Really, He wanted to be their King, but they wanted their own leadership. Anyway, there was a verse that indicated to me that God had a husband for me. If you want to know the rest, I will tell you; it's kind of long. Maybe I should tell it on my thread some time." Now, dears, if you want to know more about what we were all talking about, please go visit Brendalee's thread. In fact, Brendalee shares lots of great spiritual goodies on her thread, so I'd encourage you to go visit her.

Hi, Trish, John and all my friends! Today is June 2, 7:24 am, and June 1 was a pretty good day! I like to be busy, but not overrun with stuff, and that's just about how it was. We had a staff meeting and made some big changes at the mission HQ. The result is a lot more responsibility on all of us and a time of doing what we can do and letting God do what He wants to do. Kinda like the man at the temple gate in Acts. Peter saw Him,summoned the Name of Jesus and helped the man up, but it was Jesus Who made Him strong. We can do the "helping" things here on earth, whether they be spiritual or physical, but it is Jesus Who accomplishes the results. I'm still on Romans 1 and today saw in review and beautifully outlined, the purpose of all that God is giving to us to do at the HQ. Sometimes I just marvel at how He times our Bible readings. It would be great to hear some of your experiences on this. How are you all doing and what are you doing today/how was your day? I thought that little kitty was so cute, I just couldn't resist placing him in my av!

Cute kitty, Joy! Had another quiet day today. Still recuperating. John and Joan are both coming down with the flu. John normally goes to a men's meeting on Fridays, but he just didn't feel up to it today. They have a wedding to go to on Sunday, so they are focussing on getting well for that. I'm itching to getting back to doing things again. Not being able to see things properly sure is frustrating. I'm already getting ideas fo things I want to make for Christmas, but I can't do them if I can't see them. Hopefully soon though.
