Your social is probably what is used for the officialness of the transfers and such. I hope you can get that sorted out.

I enrolled at a CC for a class my senior year in HS. The school was supposed to pay for the class. THey had my last name wrong by one letter. The high school didn't recognize the name as valid and therefore didn't pay for it, and the CC kept sending us bills. I went and straightened it out right away, so my name was correct as of like week 3 on the roll sheet, but the schools just couldn't figure it out.

From here to Carson City is actually closer to 6 hours, I think. 4 hours to Reno, plus whatever it is to Carson. Not fun. But that could be why I keep running out of gas.

Hi Trish!

Let me rephrase that.
I NEVER run out of gas. But I'm going through it much more quickly than I would like.

Actually I looked it up yesterday and from San Francisco to Carson City you would travel on Hwy 80 and then on Hwy 50 once you got to Sacramento and the estimated driving time is four hours.

Highway 50. Really.
That would've been nice to know the time I was in Carson City coming into SF.

Maps sites can be pretty handy. I learned a short cut way to get to my house coming from a certain direction just by looking up how to get from my house to somewhere else.

~~~~
Busy day. I called in and asked the call center if it would be possible to get a late start. The scheduling lady said, "It is very possible." So instead of going in at 2:30 now I am going in at 5:30. That allowed me to spend an extra three hours at the appraisal place. I feel like I am never gonna catch up on all this stuff.
So now I am off to the call center. Since I am starting so late I am only working there 5.5 hours today! Yay! (lately I have been starting to have the brain cells dying sensation again)
Well, I actually only ended up with five hours at the call center tonight. Their rule for a lunch break is over six hours, and I was only working 5.5. I was so hungry though that I wasn't going to make it til the end of my shift with no food.
My lower back has been bothering me around where my spine is the most curvy. I haven't had this place in my spine bug me for a long time. I wonder why I will feel fine for periods of time and then things seem to break again.
Have to get the Subaru insured. I wish I knew more about what the best level of insurance is. My truck I always just insured for the minimum legal amount with no extras since it was never in great condition.
Basically you need to decide if you could afford to pay for a replacement. I guess for us we have decided that if a vehicle is worth less than 5000 we only put liability on it, but if it's more that is too much for us to lose so we put full coverage.
and if you took out a loan to pay for it (I'm not asking) then the loan company requires that you have full coverage. I've never heard of a loan company that didn't.
Yep ... what Kath said. In fact, it's State Law in Cali to require full coverage on anything with a loan.
Best way to do it, figure out how much you can afford to pay if something happened to the car. Also, see how much your premium is. It's a balance. Sometimes the next deductible is only an extra $5-$10/month and is worth it. Sometims it's a lot more.
Yah, we did get a loan to pay for the car. We don't have an extra $20,000 laying around at this time. :)
The thing I didn't understand was that there isn't a "full coverage" button to push. It just asks you how much you want for each sort of thing.
I called and got the Subaru insurance with our Jeep and home insurance policy. Since we got a discount for having multiple things with one place it ended up being like $30 a month off the lowest web quote I had.
ah, like how much collision, and comprehensive? The higher the deductible the cheaper your rates are. Depends on how much you can afford out of pocket.
Catherine's reminding me of a State Farm commercial.
Check to see what's required by your lender. Or call someone and ask what the minimum insurance is and how much will it be. Then go from there.
1 more day of full time call center!
I am sooooo glad I will not be here late into the night anymore (except for Monday). Hopefully I will not have to help any of the new training classes. I just really don't like to for some reason.
The girl they put with me tonight is the worst trainee I have ever worked with. She didn't know *anything*. But then again, instead of paying attention to my calls she was text messaging instead. When someone called in to ask about our company she had no idea what to tell them. I will be surprised if she is still here in a few weeks.
I wish my good chiro was working tomorrow. :( My spine feels so blah.
We have a new class of sales reps training right now. Apparantly when the tech support director was training they weren't paying attention so much that he said, "I don't want my time wasted. I'll email you the information you need." And that was it.
Well, here is something interesting. Last night when I had this trainee I made an inappropriate comment that I shouldn't have about her being dumb. Now that I think back on it, it was a dumb thing to say and I should have just kept it to myself. But anyway, the trainee told this to the supervisor, who reported it to HR. So when I got to work today, I got to have a lovely 20 minute "chat" with HR. Funny thing is that I forgot that I even made the comment until she reminded me of it. Well, they don't think they are going to have to punish me for it, but I have learned my lesson.
Besides for that...
No more full-time at this call center job!!
- the Best in the West Rib Cookoff is this weekend, so we will go to that once or twice.
- if there are any low cost shot clinic this weekend Ami needs her shots updated
- my bosses were planning on having me do a practice appraisal on there house, so that might be this weekend
Arg!!!
The Real Estate Division sent back my entire intern license application because their fee for a background check has gone up to $51.25 and on the application (updated 7/24/08) it lists the fee as $45, and thus I only sent them a check for $45 and not for $51.25. This is quite lame. And you know what else? On their website the application still lists the fee as $45. Stupid, stupid, stupid. They did change the fee under the "finger printing" section of the website, but not on the application itself. Did I mention this is a dumb thing to get your license delayed over?
Really? I knew the call center would be open but the appraisal place surprises me.
Yum!!!
I'd probably send a terse note when I sent back the additional fee. But don't do what I'd do.
