They'll meet Christ in the air. Right?

No matter if both parents are believers, or if one is a believer and the other is not, or if both are UNbelievers; the child will be raptured.

Any scripture verses address this?

Is age relevant?

For the very young one could make an argument.

Mark 10:13-"And they were bringing children to him, that he might touch them; and the disciples rebuked them. 14 But when Jesus saw it he was indignant, and said to them, “Let the children come to me, do not hinder them; for to such belongs the kingdom of God. 15 Truly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child shall not enter it.” 16 And he took them in his arms and blessed them, laying his hands upon them."(Matthew 19:14, Luke 18:16)

Psalm 71:5,6(5 For thou, O Lord, art my hope, my trust, O Lord, from my youth. 6 Upon thee I have leaned from my birth; thou art he who took me from my mother’s womb. My praise is continually of thee.) is classic 'prolife' hang.

First, define 'very' young...

Cannon's verse is a good response. "For of [children] is the Kingdom of God..."

Just a few verses to keep things interesting. . .

Psalm 58:2
Even from birth the wicked go astray;
from the womb they are wayward and speak lies.

Psalm 51:5
Surely I was sinful at birth,
sinful from the time my mother conceived me.

Proverbs 20:11
Even a Child is known by his doings, whether his work be pure, and whether it be right.

1st Corinthians 7:14
For the Unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the Husband: else were your children unclean, but now are they holy.

Are these to say that children are automatically righteous, or are children used as an example of how we are to come to God, meekly and accepting of Him?

Greetings! It is written: Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.

God told Job that most things that He does are beyond our comprehension and the salvation of the young below a certain age fall into that category.

I’ll just say, if the child’s name is written in the Lambs Book of Life before the foundation of the world, they will be saved.

To argue beyond this level is pointless because God just hasn’t given us the information.

Sorry for the bouncing around, folks, but since this is more about salvation of children than the rapture, I'm moving it from P&ET to Salvation Issues.

But, by the very means of the way you put this, you are assuming that they are in the Lamb's Book of Life.

More accurately: "Whether they are in or they are out is up to God."

I like this verse where all this is concerned:

For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive. 1 cor 15:22

I watched a movie last weekend - something I don't do often.

If the screenplay is scriptural, and it has things which I believe ain't in accord with scripture, I wanna' know who it is, so I can be prepared to discuss his doctrine with others.

The writer of this movie I've heard of in TV ministry (which I don't think much of normally, and do not watch ever)

In this case, the script was in accord with scripture.

All the children dis-appeared at the rapture. The movie is 'Left Behind'. The writer is Tim LeHaye.

Before asking how old the child is why not first ask if "rapture" (and the ways it is conceived in many churches) is even what Paul is talking about?

That's not what this thread is about. This thread is on the assumption of some type of rapture and the issues pertaining to children at that time.

Not valid scriptures as they refer to Jewish children covered under the Mosaic covenant.

Gentile children do not have the covering of a national covenant.

That is a bit too calvinistic for my taste, however, the question comes up: on what basis would someone be in there; based on a decision to follow the Lord later in life which an all-knowing God realizes will never happen?

And put this one with it:

Daniel 12:2 And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.

All wil be made alive. The question is - alive to what?
