I'm still waiting for some actual research on this - original sources, perspectives from opposing viewpoints, etc.

Here's a link to the current draft of the treaty - UN FCCC Copenhagen.pdf which is actually a long an convoluted treaty crafting a global agreement on a cooperative approach to reducing greenhouse gas emissions. This treaty is designed to replace the Kyoto treaty.
The language of the treaty is fairly specific that, among other things:
- Adaptation efforts should be country-driven where national governments identify
and communicate needs, priorities, and responses that are aligned with national priorities
and that will enhance their capacities to adapt.
- Be undertaken within a nationally coordinated approach consistent with local, national and regional development objectives, and coordinated with regional programmes without
compromising the countries’ sovereignty
As usual, it helps to check the facts before posting (although that guy did have a cool British accent which makes him sound very believable.

So...global warming raises its ugly socialist head again?
Doesn't this prove once and for all that global warming is nothing more than a political ploy?

Amazing what an accent along with his dramatic eloquence can elicit...probably many went home locked their doors and hid under the bed. I'm just curious where exactly in our constitution it says that this treaty "...it takes precedence over your constitution"?

When I remember watching Al Gore up on stage in that black priest-like outfit with Hollywood and the masses treating him with some bizarre form of reverence, which was only trumped by the reverence and praise given to Barry Soetoro by the world, then yes. That indeed, makes this "all the more believable!"
