I got accepted into the Masters Degree program at Cal State. I am living with my mother who is not charging me rent. Here is the thing, I have been going on interviews and really prefer part time so I have time to do my homework and practice. I have an interview on Wednesday for a full time job and I am less than thrilled about it. It's an Administrative Assistant for Geological company, something I am not interested in at all. Should I not waste their time? I feel bad, because I want to work and earn money, but I don't want it to get in the way of school.

If you're going to refuse the job if they offer it, I don't see why you'd want to go and waste both your and their time.

IMHO.

the fact that you for now are living with your mom helps.... if you know you are not into this job and you do it anyway it wont be a job but labour. i'd stick with my part time, finish my master's and keep my eyes open for better full time opportunities...

thank you, I will continue looking for part time so I can still go to school. and let the job go to someone who may need it more than I.

I went on the interview anyways, but was upfront about school and that pretty much ended it there, but they continued to interview me in case something else in the company comes up that meet be beneficial for us both. So it worked out well. always does with the Lord.

it is really hard stuff to decide for which you should go for school or work. you have to manage both the things but you have to do that dear

You should defiantly go and explain the situation, they might know of a part time position.
