I grew up in a small country church and when I was around 8-10 years old I was "saved" although I went through my teenage years partying heavy while rarely thinking about spiritual things. Back in August of 2005, I had a spiritual awakening and began attending church every time the doors were opened and studied the Bible daily and tried my very best to live for Jesus. I had quit drinking alcohol completely and tried to apply God's moral standards to every aspect of my life. Sometime last year, I began to rebel. I started drinking, light at first thinking it was no big deal as long as I didn't get drunk. That lasted a while and then I began partying heavy and drinking to extremes. I stopped going to church and stopped associating with all my Christian friends. I began staying out half the night and coming back home stoned to my wife. My language over the last year has been terrible, I've probably said GD at least a thousand times. I even stopped beliveing and figured there is no God, there are too many problems here on earth for a loving God to exist...I fell hard and fast. A few nights ago, I got so drunk I blacked out and can't remember anything. I drove at least 20-30 miles and I can't even remember how I got where I was going. I've made a wholehearted committed decision to abstain from even a drop of alcohol for the rest of my life. I want to come back to Jesus but I really feel like some of the things I've done and said are unforgivable. I joked with my friends about Christians and even made Jesus Christ the brunt of our jokes. I really don't know if I've committed the unpardonable sin. The only good news is this, I already know in my heart I can beat my alcohol addiction and I'll be looking for a good church starting next week (have to work this Sunday). I ask that people please pray for me and it is my prayer that Jesus will take me back and I can begin work for Him by helping others see His Love through me. I appreciate all prayers and encouraging comments in advance. Thank you.

Father, Thank you for your unconditional love. Please help RedbirdVA to know for a fact that your love for him did not stop when he went back to drinking, made fun of Christian frends and whatever else. We remember that you forgave those who beat and killed Jesus Christ (He said, "Father, forgive them..."). Give him encouragement to take this new conviction not to drink one day at a time...one hour at a time...one minute, if necessary, at a time. Give him human support, maybe a group or whatever you decide, to help him. Help RedbirdVA to have no doubt whatsoever that you are welcoming him back with open arms; that you never left him. Thank you for being with him, protecting him, when he drove 20-30 miles while drunk. Help him to know that your love for him never stopped. Please rescue him from this addiction while you perform other miracles in his life. We pray for him in the name of your Son, Jesus Christ, whom you gave for our sins. Amen. RedbirdVA, Feel free to send me a PM if you have the need to talk with someone who has done the same type of thing and was rescued by God.

Blessed Lord, please be with RedbirdVA. Look down on him with kindness and mercy, and help him with his goal to beat his alcoholism. Help him to find the proper treatment which can lead him to a better life without the aid of booze to empower him. Instead, empower him with your love and your ministering word. Forgive him the transgressions that he has committed against you, and redeem him with the blood that was shed upon the cross by your only begotten Son, Jesus Christ. Lord, the Bible says that the angels in Heaven rejoyce more for one repentant sinner than for 100 of those who are already saved. Let them rejoyce over RedbirdVA. Bless him this evening, and grant him the peace he seeks in his heart, and the strength to overcome his addiction, and aid him towards an ever-closer walk with you. I pray this in the all-powerful name of your Beloved Son, Jesus Christ, our Savior. Amen.

Lord, I thank You that You never give up on us, no matter how many times we fail You. Lord, I pray You would heal his alcohol addiction. Replace the cravings for booze with a craving for more of You. Fill him with your love and mercy and help him to understand that only You can truly satisfy our deepest longings. Help him and give him the strength to say NO to unhealty habits and replace them with Godly habits. I also pray You would guide him and lead him to a good church, one where he will find loving and supportive friends who will encourage him and not judge him. Draw him closer to You, Lord. in Jesus name, amen

Lord, I lift up RedbirdVA to you tonight..Please continue to touch his heart and open his eyes to you Lord, to keep him straight on the right road to you Lord. Be there for him and make him strong, and give him the wisdom he needs to know more about you every day Lord. Please Lord, I ask for a hedge of protection over him, keep him safe, keep him focused on you Lord. You love him so much and I know you have touched his heart in such a way and the Holy Spirit has convicted him of his actions, I praise you Lord for this because now even though he took the wrong path for a while, he has now come back to you Lord and I am so glad you were there for him!! Redbird, as long as you have asked for forgiveness, he has forgiven you, he will never turn his back on you since you have come to him now!! no matter what you have said or did (the vulger words), doesn't matter, he has forgiven you now... I am praying for you!! amen kc
