GOP's Pawlenty praises Obama's positive message

By FREDERIC J. FROMMER, Associated Press Writer Wed
Aug 6, 12:06 PM ET

ARLINGTON, Va. - Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty, often mentioned as a possible running mate for Republican presidential candidate John McCain, said Wednesday GOP candidates would do well to adopt a positive tone like that of McCain's Democratic rival Barack Obama.

"Say what you will about Barack Obama," the Minnesota Republican told a conservative group, "people gravitate when you have something positive to say."

Story Here

No doubt Mr. Pawlenty will be off McCain's short-list for V.P. now.

I think this means that Republicans are simply more positive about their opponents than Democrats.

With the exception of certain republicans in certain forums.

Hey, was that directed at me?! I say positive things about Democrats - just the other day I was telling somone that I thought Barak was very effervescent.

ef·fer·vesce (fr-vs)
intr.v. ef·fer·vesced, ef·fer·vesc·ing, ef·fer·vesc·es
1. To emit small bubbles of gas, as a carbonated or fermenting liquid.
2. To escape from a liquid as bubbles; bubble up.
3. To show high spirits or animation.

I don't know. Which of those definitions were you referring to?

Sweet serendipity, to have picked a single word with two definitions, both completely appropriate for the purpose.

Pawlenty is on the short list for VP? Wow - I didn't know that. It'd be good having another Minnesotan in the executive branch.
