I have been checking often on the NELON'S WEBSITE, and it hasn't been updated for sometime. Does anyone have any updated information regarding their concert schedule, etc? I have been a big fan of the NELONS and would appreciate any information you might have

The last I heard anything from them was in a newsletter from Kelly in August. She said that they weren't able to travel as much because they weren't able to leave for long periods of time due to their obligations at thier home church. They were suppose to be working on a new project that was hoped to be relased in January. I noticed a few minutes ago that the Nqc schedule for 2007 has been posted and they are not scheduled to appear on the main stage. They are scheduled this summer at the Inspirations July sing. It's only about an hour drive from were I am I guess I may try to go as I love to hear them sing.

Maybe Amber could start a solo career soon. She should be getting out of school before long. Not sure what grade or how old she is now.

I really miss the Nelons from thier glory days...Some phenomenal music in the 80s and eraly 90s

They were a tough group to beat in the 1980s. The '80s line-up will be remembered as one the best groups in Southern Gospel Music.

I LOVE Amber Thompson she is the main Reason the Nelons are in my cd collectionand why I WANT TO SEE THEM LIVE I think when in 2003 the Bill Gaither video/dvd Heaven came out she was 14

I think I remember seeing in the March issue of SN that I received today Amber has a birthday coming up in March but did not give her age.

She was born the same was my cousin which will put her being 18 this year. This is also her senior year in high school.

Yeah. I heard on the gospel greats that they were wanting to get it out by January. I guess it's a little delayed.

I saw them about a month ago, and Kelly said they are going to try to do more concerts. Amber is in her first year of college, and loves it. They all said they are doing well.

The Dominion Agency's website has added the Nelons...not many dates are listed yet, but it's a start! I saw them in concert last month, and Kelly said the new CD should be out just in January or February. Two CDs, actually--one is with their church choir and the other is a "real" Nelons project.

I went on their website and the song that plays, "We Speak Your Name", is absolutely beautiful! I had to leave it on that page so I could hear the whole song--it was too pretty to quit! I wasn't sure which project that one is on, but I may have to ask Santa for it!

The new cd is out and in the office. So everyone go to www.thenelons.com and order it. the new songs are great and the whole project is a must for southern gospel fans.
