I thought we could start a thread about the Greenes! I love to hear them sing...TaRanda does a fantastic job!!!

I have a question about TaRanda...does anyone know her middle name?

Do we have any Greene's fans???

I've only seen them a couple of times, so I don't think I really qualify as a fan yet! But I love the way Taranda sings!! She was really fabulous at Scott Inman's wedding, too.

The first time i saw the Greenes sing , it was Tim and Tony Greene, and Amy Lambert. They were awsome, and i have loved them ever since.

Has anyone heard anything about Tim?

I enjoy the Greenes and have listened to them since Kim was with them. I only have a couple projects with Taranda and haven't seen them in concert with her apart from a few songs at NQC but I do still enjoy their sound. I recently acquired their "Glimpse of Glory" CD and love the song "In the Morning Light" which is why I got the CD in the first place.

I guess that doesn't work for me. I thought of using FreemanFan but I really like Southern Gospel as a whole even if I do have my favorites.

I have been listening to the Greenes early recording, Walking In God's Sunshine. It is always interesting to hear where a group started and how they have progressed through the years. I am one recording away from having the Greenes complete discography.

Any updates on Tony?

Has anyone heard anything about Tim in a while...the last I heard, there was mold in this house as well...anyone know if that is true? I saw on the Gospel Greats website that Kim will be giving an update on Tim and Tony Sunday. I may have to get up and listen to it.

Mrs. C. and I both really enjoyed that trip. Wish we could go again but my schedule will not allow us to do so. Glad we went that year. If anyone has ever thought about a Christmas trip to NYC, ck out the Greene's tour. I think they may do 2 of them now.
And glad to know who you are.

This is the update for Tony from the SG Wire on September 17th:

Tony Greene has informed Singing News, "My peritoneal dialysis is working well. I feel better than I have in months. I have more energy and stability as well. Keep praying that the Lord will give me a really good match for a kidney in December for my transplant."

I think one of the best songs i have heard is

They'll Never Crucify Him Again

Amy tore that song up first time i heard it was at a concert and i fell in love with it.

Here is a youtube link of the original Greenes singing it...

What you heard on the radio probably came from the Greens 10th anniversary live project (I have no clue where you would find one...)
