Luke Chapter 6, verse 10 "And looking round about upon them all, he said unto the man, Stretch forth thy hand.
And he did so: and his hand was restored whole as the other."

Here was a man whose right hand was withered, and of not much use to him. He came into the presence of Jesus, who was teaching in the synagogue. Jesus saw the man, told him to stand up among the people, and then then told him to "stretch forth thy hand". When the man obeyed, Jesus healed him and restored his hand like the other one. I just imagine that this man's left hand was strong, calloused, and well used because he was deprived of the use of the right hand. When his right hand was restored, it was also strong, calloused and well used. I can just see that man shouting for joy at the return of his right hand. He had been struggling, and adjusted to living as a "one hand man", but he still had hope that one day his other hand would be restored. He knew only Jesus could perform this so he sought Him out.

Many of us have a "withered right hand"...something of which we have been deprived. It may be a relationship, or finances, or health, or a myriad of other problems. We know that Jesus can intervene and restore what we have lost.

Today, stretch forth thy hand unto Jesus.

Thank You Walkin2e for your post,

When WE REACH OUT TO JESUS HE WILL NEVER FAIL US-HE WILL ALWAYS BE THERE REACHING BACK

I also believe When we talk to Jesus He will always have an listening ear

When we have a heavy load he will always willingly take it from us,if we willingly hand it to him.

Like you said the man learned to work with the good, strong hand probably thinking that was his portion in life.
When the Lord had so much more for him,and was so willing to give it to him.
We have to learn as individuals to always remember Jesus always has something more for us.
There are never limits with Jesus unless we put them there.

We are not told in scripture that the healed hand was made calloused just that it was made whole and I do believe that means it was also made strong but to say it was made calloused is adding to scripture.

Well, that is true that the scripture didn't say that...that is why I said "I can just imagine"...which is NOT adding to scripture.

My point is that a man with one hand would use that one hand to do what two hands usually does.

The bottom line is that Jesus performed a miracle when the man stretched forth his one hand toward the only one who could make him whole.
