We are caring for a now 4 month old. What are the signs that your baby has now bonded with you? I understand what it feels like for me to have bonded, meaning I love him like my own but how do I know he's bonded with me?

My first thought would be that he calms down in your presence when he's upset over something...does he smile at you and show you that he enjoys snuggles, kisses, etc.?

Yes, he responds to kisses, hugs and tickles. I think he responds when I enter a room. Sometimes no but mostly yes. He's a real bubbly little boy and typically responds to most smiles with people in general. That's why it's a little hard to tell. I read somewhere that around month 3 they start to recognize you and then prefer who they are with. He's shown some discomfort with others but mostly, in general, is very social and happy with everyone.

He sounds like he's perfectly bonded and that he's just social and easy going! What a blessing you've got there in your son!

Thank you. He is a joy! I hope we can find his birth mother so we can officially adopt him. I need this to be done quickly, so we need a miracle!
