I don't know if there is a thread on these guys yet....but here is a place to post your comments on the Rolling Stones. I personally like a good amount of their stuff (especially their early to mid '60s work). I have to use more discernement on the material from 1968-1972. Still, that was their most creative period. It's my opinion that they became a parody of themselves and rock and roll excess after "Exile On Main Street"....less creativity, more commercial tunes, more obscenity for the sake of obscenity. Maybe that was due to personal excess and drug use catching up with them. Anyway, feel free to post thoughts, opinions (good or bad), personal favorites, etc.... Grace, peace and blessings to all.

What! The Rolling Stones are still alive??? LOL My thoughts are they should have retired, long ago... LONG LONG AGO I agree. They are more like a corporate entity masquerading as a rock and roll band. Nothing but "product", and an aging, decrepit product at that. Mick seems to be in good shape at 65, but it just seems ridiculous at this point to be doing all that posturing and preening on stage. Keith Richards is a walking example of God's grace. He should have been dead years ago! He looks about 100 years old. Why do they keep at it? Can't be the money. Still like a lot of their music, though. Brings back memories. They used to be good, a long, long, LONG time ago! '60s -'70s, but that's it. Has anybody heard their studio output from the '80s and '90s? Most reviewers recommend that the buying public steer clear of these albums. I've never felt compelled to check them out.
