PLEASE NOTE: I am not asking whether or not you believe people actually can or do repress memories or whether repressed memories are valid. I do not wish that to be part of the discussion.

I'm defining a repressed memory as a memory completely excluded from the consciousness.

Have you ever known anyone who experienced a traumatic event that triggered the recollection of repressed memories from a previous traumatic event from several years prior?

If so, what changes- if any, did you observe in their behavior and/or personality?

Yes..... picking one such person in particular, as the repressed memories came to the surface, there were many, they all had to be faced, accepted, and dealt with individually.
today, she is a completely different person, free from fear, from panic, the low self esteem. Outgoing, bold, a natural leader (yes, completely opposite), she went from being a home body, hiding under the bed when a car passed by, today she is the president of a company, it won't surprise me at all if (what I am praying for) if she starts a ministry and starts traveling and speaking to survivors of abusive situations..
maybe the recovery was a text book thingy, but truly it was a miracle of God's healing.

Yes, me.

I'm still dealing with it. However, now I face my fears and express them rather than running from them.
