What things in life reminds you of God? Here is a list of important things that helps me remember the Lord: my bible, passing by any church, fellow believers, Christian music, the cross, listening to my pastor's sermons, and all my blessings. Something else that reminds me of God is His beautiful creation such as the ocean, mountains, desert, and the stars. What helps you remember the Lord?

Every day I wake up I remember it is the Lord who gave me this day clean of sin to begin my journey. The slate is clean each new morning to be amazed at just how wondrous our Saviour is. I look at all the bibles I have, even the one from my childhood I use up to the newest one now. The beautiful new churches built here in Shawnee, and the oldest ones. I thank You Father for your precious love and am constantly that You would call me your servant. I thank You for all I have, it's Yours anyway, You gave it to me. In Jesus Name, amen Connie Lou

Here in Quebec's province we have , outside main cities, a Cross on every road. So when i go by one, i say thank You Jesus for the sacrifice. I love kayaking and being on rivers and beautiful lakes always remind me of the Creation and to pray God. In movies when there is reference to God. When i see someone in need, an ambulance, accident, firefighters etc I pray for them. When i am waiting in line or hospital, dentist, bank ... Internet

Remembering the Lord I have been recently doing some research into what is called communion so this subject has been on my mind. The word remembrance in Greek is to cease forgetting. It is interesting that the Lord's Supper was given as a means to remember Jesus. Moses gave instructions to the nation of Israel to remember the Lord; Deuteronomy 6:12 Then beware lest thou forget the LORD, which brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage. The consequences for not remembering were that their immanent material prosperity would cause the to forget the Lord and be puffed up with pride (which is what happened). The Passover was given to cause Israel to remember; Exodus 12:24-27 And ye shall observe this thing for an ordinance to thee and to thy sons for ever. And it shall come to pass, when ye be come to the land which the LORD will give you, according as he hath promised, that ye shall keep this service. And it shall come to pass, when your children shall say unto you, What mean ye by this service? That ye shall say, It is the sacrifice of the LORD's passover, who passed over the houses of the children of Israel in Egypt, when he smote the Egyptians, and delivered our houses. And the people bowed the head and worshipped. It is interesting that the instruction to remember the Lord was given at a Passover dinner. Remembrance is like establishing a mental monument. Israel would declare that God led them out of Egypt. It was a fact and they tied themselves to that fact. The fact had implications for how they were to live (follow the law, love God, etc.) When we remember Jesus we also face a fact. His love led Him to die for our sins and we are now joined with Him. We need to tie ourselves to this fact. This fact has implications for how we should live (grow into the image of Christ, not live for ourselves but in love, etc). Like Israel, we too can forget our Savior and become entangled with the world.

I ... remind myself of God. When I see who I am ... how I live, think, walk, function. How when I am cut my skin heals itself. When I'm ill my body fights the infection. When I think how I was created. How I was born. How I grew up. All these things remind me of God. How He created me and others. And how He created all that is on earth and in the universe. On a personal basis; I also remember how everytime I was in trouble in life (and there's been plenty) He was there for me. Everything reminds me of God. I can't help it.

ORIGINAL: faithfulservant_ What helps you remember the Lord? Here are 2 verses that helps me remember God. Food for thought. "Although I have scattered them among the nations, they will remember me even in faraway places." Zechariah 10:9 "Then those of you who escape will remember Me among the nations to which they will be carried captive, how I have been hurt by their adulterous hearts which turned away from Me, and by their eyes which played the harlot after their idols; and they will loathe themselves in their own sight for the evils which they have committed, for all their abominations." Ezekiel 6:9

To the senses of the believer, everything good or even bad should remind him of the Glory of God. It is easy to say that we remember God in good things but it is hard to remember Him in the bad. Although God is the Giver of good things we must never forget that the Lord may be showing Himself also in the whirlwind.
