Can a normal mouse, not a USB mouse but a PS/2 mouse connect to a laptop?

I am getting a laptop computer soon and I was wondering about this because my sister recently gave me a PS/2 Mouse.

yes, you would need to look at getting an adapter like what is in the link

they probably have many different types, and brands. this is the first one I found.
