I am a fairly new christian that has been searching for a church home. I have visited a lot of churches and I feel nothing there. Some are like a concert, some pass the basket way to many times and in one the pastor seemed bored and kept saying "ummm ummm you know, Jesus Christ, yes that's who I mean".
I did visit 2 churches that I liked and that does a lot for the community. One is close to me and the other further out. I am unsure of which to join.
I want a church that teaches the word without a lot of screaming and yelling, a nice choir, Bible study hours that fit my schedule and not so large that I get lost in it or am just considered a check when it comes to tithing. I also want to be able to be an asset to the church. To help out with community events and etc.
Please pray that I am led to the right church for me.

Father You know what this poster needs the most about of a church group ... Lord, please lead them to it, and help them know in their heart that is the one You want them to become a family member of ...
norajm, you might never find the perfect church for you, because churches are full of sinners who also are seeking and growing. Best to just ask the Lord to show you where HE wants you to fellowship, and then commit to growing in that congregation..

Wow!! I had never thought of it that way. I kept wondering why are these Christians acting like this in(some don't speak when someone says hello, some look the other way) and right after church (cursing in the parking lot). I don't want to be a member here. Thank you. Somehow you chose the exact words I needed to hear this morning.

Father,
Thank you that narajm is seeking fellowship with other Christians. Please lead her to a congregation where she will receive sound instruction and inspiration from the Bible, your Word. May it be a place where she not only will be helped but also a place where she will be able to help others. Thank you for all that you will do. We praise you and pray for norajm in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Father, thank You that narajm desires to serve You. Guide her to the church that You would have her to be at. A place where she can grow in You, and be of service to You. Thank You Lord. In Jesus name. Amen
