Prayer for Our Nation, Government, Economy and People - 11/4/2008 2:14:30 PM

After listening to Insight for Living this morning, I feel compelled to pray for our nation, for the incoming administration, for our economy, for the people who comprise our nation and that god would move into all our lives and heal us and make us strong, spiritually, emotionally, professionally, financially, the whole enchilada.
Lord, I pray for those in position of power in the government, in high finance, in business, in the media, in our school, and in our neighborhoods. Lord, Grant them wisdom and a loving heart for the people.
Lord, I pray for our media, that messages of love, peace and prosperity reach people's ears instead of punditry and propaganda.
Lord, I pray for the banks and institutions to make wise decisions in financial affairs.
Lord, I pray for Christians to have the bravery to speak up and to come closer to the Lord and knowledge of God's will for each of our lives. I pray your circle of influence widen.
Lord, I pray others join me in this prayer.

Father God,
Thank You for loving us. Thank you for the USA. Thank You for what I believe has been a relatively uneventful, non-violent day of electing our future leaders. Lord, I pray for Christians throughout this country to continue to seek to share testimony of Your love for us with others, to the glory of Your holy name.

Our Heavenly Father,
I ask that this nation again be brought under Your Hand.
Give us wisdom, courage & strength to get the things done that are in Your Will for our nation.
Help us to stay strong & not belittle other people for their elections choices.
Let us see Father God that You are still in control of everything concerning the world and this nation.
Place this nation back on it's feet & allow it to be strong again.
Give knowledge to those who make decisions about our nation.
Give wisdom to those praying for our nation.
Give protection to those who fight for our freedom.
Place Yourself in everyone who does not know you and let them see Your works.
Touch all of us Father God and keep us safe.
In Jesus Name, amen

Heavenly Father, I am still praying for our nation. For the world leaders of the nations that YOU made. I pray for Obama and wisdom as he develops an administration. I pray also for president bush. I pray for each person in a position of power, not only in government, but in business, media, finances and sports. as they have major influence.
Lord, I pray that you would increase the influence of your people. Oh God that you would bless us and increase our territory, that your hand would be on us and that you would deliver us from harm.
Lord, I pray for families, heal broken relationships.
Lord, forgive us for our transgressions. Lord, heal us. Lord, bless us.
Lord, be glorified.
Amen.

Lord, I also pray for our school administrators, for the superintendants, the administration, the teachers and committees that form the school system. I pray the truth be taught.
and I also pray for the next generation. Lord, bring up good role models.

Thank you Lord, for your blessings on America. Thank you Lord for causing gas prices to fall ($2.15) per gallon here.
Thank You Lord for having Your Almighty Hand on our nation.

Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God.
I Timothy 1:1-2
I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone— for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.
Father,
In obedience to Your Word I am in agreement with all prayers for our nation's leaders.

Lord, I continue to pray for the governing authorities, that they be people of integrity and grit. I pray for our national economy, that we rebuild it and be a nation that lends and does not borrow. I pray for the morality of our country and i do pray for gay people.
I pray for the muslims and buddhists and for those who seek you and the truth.
Lord, I still pray for my neighborhood -there's a lot of lost people living here and I pray for my home, my mother, sister and I pray about my attitude.
and Lord, thank you for the insight for living ministry.

Lord, have pity on our Christ hating, stomach worshiping, money worshiping, unborn child murdering, faithless, blind, lying, foolish nation. Thank you Lord that your ways are perfect and just and right and that in righteousness you are giving Americans over to the evil desires of their hearts to perform even more sin. As we, your elect, travel through this foreign land on our way to our true home and kingdom in heaven grant us grace to return a blessing toward the Christ haters who manifest their sin and darkness so that we might inherit a blessing because this is what your children, holy and dearly loved by you, are called to - 1 Peter 3:9. If it is your will Lord, to not only save your own - which it is (I will build my church and the gates of hell will not prevail against it)...if it is your will to save your elect and leave the rest - then Lord save and destroy the rest. As Nineveh had its Jonah and repented and then it fell into terrible sin again and so you reduced it to rubble - well Lord - America has had plenty of 'Jonahs'. Thank you for your righteousness and mercy. All your ways are perfect Lord. Even so, come Lord Jesus come, and save your people now!

....I can't open the 'edit' pop-up for some reason....I wanted to add...leave the rest Lord. Those who aren't your elect...leave them to do what they are chosing to do - hate the blessed Christ.
