I have just learned about this not too long ago....and i am sure many have heard of it. Nevertheless, I tried it. It works. At my church we were taking lessons on how to create a "house church." In one of the sessions, he mentioned prayer walking: walking/driving around the community in which you live in or are trying to reach out to. Through prayer walking, it is the hope that God will help you to break down the walls with those who you minister to. The only thing I forgot to do was ask God to protect me as I prayed over the campus...the next week was like a full on attack. Anyhoo, Has anyone else ever tried it? Did it work for you?

We never called it an "house church" or outside church" but we do prayer walking around our neighborhood, local school and city hall. Sometimes we see results, some we will never know.

I was on a tour with a Christian youth event a couple of years ago and we would often gather as a group and prayer walk around the arena before the events. Definitely brought a sense of unity within the group and an awareness of God's presence in the place. I will admit, it was a bit strange at first since you have to keep your eyes open since you're walking and you're talking to God at the same time.. I suppose since it's typically something you do with your eyes closed standing still.. anyhow.. Very successful, I would agree. Erin
