I am happy to know that California's Prop 8 was passed. I knew in my heart that it would. But I do feel so bad for the gay couples who feel afflicted...because so many of them have no idea that homosexuality is a sin, and it feels so natural to them. I do believe they are honestly confused, not 'evil', and have no idea why people would want to 'discriminate' against them. It's not like murder where you do it and know it's bad. They are honestly convinced that it is good, and they are unaware that good is synonymous with God. I think along with our celebration for the passing of Prop 8, we need to pray for the homosexuals to gain an understanding through Christ, and pray for the Lord to prompt them and help into starting a spiritual journey to righteousness. If this happens, they won't even be able to feel afflicted, all they will be able to feel is the spirit of God within them. They will feel nothing but his pure and endless love. And best all, a sense of overwhelming peace. They are God's beautiful children, and deserve our strong prayers. Let's all pray that they do seek to gain understanding with God's divine guidance, and that their broken hearts are mended with the truth, love, and light of Christ.

I humbly disagree that a homosexual does not know they are in sin against God and nature.
The Bible teaches that one of the Holy Spirits ministries is to convict the world of sin, so either they know and are just trying to justify it or the Bible is a liar.
I pray daily for all sinners to come to the saving grace of Jesus Christ, repent, and live a Godly life; so that would emcompass those practicing the sin of homosexuality.
Homosexuals are not God's children, the New Testament plainly teaches that when one in saved is when they become a Child of God. so anyone practicing a sinful lifestyle is not a Child of God, but rather a child of disobedience.

I agree that the homosexuals do know that they are living in sin according to God's word. They know, but do not care. They love their sin more than they love God. This does not give us the right to judge them, or be self righteous about it. We are to love them just as Christ loved us, even as we were sinners. We should make the effort to let them know that God died for their sins, just as He died for all men's sin, and offers them forgiveness and grace as a free gift. Unfortunately, most do not want His forgiveness, and would never repent in any case because they do not want to turn away from the sin that enslaves them.
I am grateful to all those who voted against redefining marriage. It has passed I believe in three states at this point, and I am hopeful it will pass in more states in upcoming elections. If California can get this amendment passed, then there may still be hope for this country yet, though I am not sure of this. This country has been moving down a dangerous path for the past 40+ years, and I fear it will continue to move in that direction.

I'm going to respond to 2 things you said but in a different order than you wrote;

I think we all are His children. We become a part of the "family" of God when saved, but I would not like to think that a person who has never heard the road to salvation as NOT being a child of God.

The key is knowledge of sin after being presented the gospel or rejecting it.
If they are choosing disobedience, then yes, you are right!

I have known so many homosexuals throughout my life, and though I know some know the truth and ignore it- most just don't know. It's like atheism. Atheists don't intentionally disobey God, because they don't believe in a god TO disobey. They just simply don't know. Now obviously not all gays are atheists, but those who do believe in God and think it's still okay to be gay, obviously have a distorted perception of God. And for that, I don't call them 'evil', just confused and misguided. You can't force someone to believe that their homosexuality is wrong, as you can't 'force' someone to believe anything. Belief is not a choice. The only way they can is through the fulfillment of truth in them, through Christ. That's why I pray for them.
It's the ignorance and confusion that should be prayed for.
And how can anyone on this planet not be born a child of God? Who is our Father, then? Satan? Is he responsible for our creation? I don't think so...
