Oh it's ok....you won't be a third wheel...I promise! The most irritating thing is people automaticaly assume there is something wrong with us because we can't find or keep a signifant other. We are broken.

Oh yeah, don't you just hate it when they assume they know what is in your heart, or what type of person you are, simply based on your situation? One guy recently decided that because I am wanting to date someone, that must mean I'm not content and waiting on God. He made some pretty huge assumptions about me based on pretty much nothing. Geez!

Here's one's that I hear all the time: "You'll just have to wait..." (OK, how long?) "There's someone out there for everyone." (Now that I don't believe for the sheer fact that there aren't an equal number of men and women on the earth. ) "There's a lot of good things about being single." (I know there are, but it's usually a married person that says this to me, and I think it makes them look like a hypocrite if they say this.) "Jesus is the only companion you need." (I know this is true, but it sounds like a copout response. I can't exactly invite Jesus to a movie or dinner with me.)

I was at my friends house about a month ago, fixxing his computer, they pay me by having me for dinner, and he said those exact words to me,,, grinned scratched his chin and said "but I can't think of any" LOL that was hilarious!!! especially if you knew anything about their marriage.

Then there's "Maybe god is still working on you" (Working on what? Making me bitter and hopeless? I hope he doesn't have much further to go!) Or, "God will bring you together when both of you are ready" (I was ready 6 years ago. What's taking my wife so dang long?)
