Status: offline 		I don't think it would work as well if it were old. I am not sure if you can tell it's old just by looking at it. If you are worried I would either ask or find a new salon to go to.

Status: offline 		I would tend to think it was bad solution, vs bad powder. The ONLY thing I can think of that would make the powder bad is that it somehow got moisture into it. But, I doubt that would happen. I was licensed years ago - and I don't ever recall my powder going bad - the liquid was another story. THAT would go back quickly.

Status: offline 		Ah, the ole "bad powder" ... I haven't had acrylics in years, but some powders are higher quality than others. Just like anything else. It's well worth spending a little more for a better quality nail job as they tend to last longer and have less problems with lifting.

And, of course, sometimes they will say that to help drum up more business for themselves.
