Last year, we had a whole bunch of NQC threads until we decided to put all discussion into one mega-thread. We're seven or eight weeks out from NQC now, so it's probably a good time to get things started.

Who will be there? What days will you be there?

What days would be good for a forum get-together?

Everyone has different showcases they hope to catch, plus some might only be coming for evening concerts. So maybe we should gather at 3:30 or 3:45, after the last showcase and before the vendor's hall opens. Thursday? Friday? Saturday?

What sounds good to everyone?

I know we will be there Monday - Thursday. Don't know yet about Friday & Saturday.
Don't think that we'll be able to get a date that is satisfactory to everyone.

I'll be there all week long. I have a table this year (#886). I might be able to sneak away and come over.

Dinana and I will be there Thurs-Sat. I think the late afternoon is best. Last year the noon-time thing was a little problematic if you wanted to get to a showcase. We really enjoyed it last year and I'm looking forward to this year!

Maybe Thursday late afternoon would be best. (I'm just as open for Saturday, but if we have some Mon-Thur folks there.)

I think Thusday would be the best afternoon. The 2:00 - 3:00 showcases that day are Dino and BlueGrass. Thursday would be better for me.

Thursday is fine with me, doubt I'll do showcases that day so my time if flexible (as flexible as it can be with a 9 month old in tow! )

Bobby are you saying you think folks are less likely to see either of those showcases???

I have to agree with you there!

Hubby and I will be at NQC Thurs. thru Sat. I'm brand new on the forums after lurking for over a year. Many of your faces are so familiar I feel I know you already but would love to see you all in person.

Janis

I suppose..........I went to bluegrass last year........don't care about Dino, see enough of him on tv and don't think he belongs at NQC. (my opinion)

Well, then, let's tentatively plan on getting together somewhere around 3:30 or 3:45 on Thursday, unless some of the latecomers to this thread have some major conflicts then.

Where?

I would suggest somewhere in the lobby, perhaps around the 2009 ticket area. That should be pretty close to the exhibit hall doors. Without having been there with the new layout it's hard to pick a place.

I have no problem with Thurs. We always try to be there by 4:00 so a little earlier won't matter for us.

I will be there all week. Not sure what time I'll be busy and when I won't. I've been invited to sit on a couple "expert panels" this year (ha, those silly people lol)

There all week, so whatever is fine with me, and I will feel Blessed to meet any & all who can make it.

BTW: In case Amerigrandpa does so happen to be Doyle Lawson, hope his feelings not hurt about the fact we apparently concede to forego the Bluegrass, which I do highly enjoy, partly probably 'cause I'm from the Bluegrass State... ...

I also best get back to posting on my regular threads or ya'll will say "who"....

naaahhh, no way...I'm unforgettable...ROTFL

Well...only thing I will say about Bluegrass music is I like it in small doses. My hubby is a huge bluegrass fan...but he feels the same way about my SGM as I do about his BGM so...no hurt feelings in my house.

BTW...Vidimide...being a native of Kentucky wouldn't they revoke your citizenship if you didn't like bluegrass music???

Bobby...what's this about a Posters Quartet??? It almost would be worth the price of the trip to come to hear that!!!!

We did last year. The only problem was that by the time they started singing, I was off to a showcase! Heard it was really good!
