I don't have any examples of my own - I'm too afraid of what I might find to actually go out and look for it.

I've got to stop reading this thread. It's giving me hives. Does anyone have Bible Benadryl on sale yet?

I'm leaving now to go find a completely secular emergency room.

Soxfan, Clearly you are opposed to selling of prayer cloths and holy water. I just was wondering: (1) you oppose these things because they are objects whose peddlers purport can "do" something, like bring healing, holiness, more money, more anointing, etc.; or (2) you oppose any merchandising, for profit, of anything Christian, including the hundreds of thousands of Christian books, music, and movies, and the sundry prayer cloths, anointing oils, holy waters, super-anointed ultra-prophetic prayer shawls, etc.? I am guessing that it's (1) but not (2). Correct me if I'm wrong.

I am not opposed to the selling of Christian books, music, movies, etc. However, those things should not be lumped in with the stuff that is peddled by greedly "pulpit pimps" like prayer cloths, prayer shawls, anointed waters, etc

I agree with you on you last statement Sox. I was watching because I was having a hard time sleeping this morning. So I got up at 2:30 EDT and waited until 4:00 on BET shows that they show at that time. Which they were pushing the issue that if you bought these things you would have God going around doing great things for you. Again the simple ploy of you give a thousand and you will recieve ten thousand. Like one lady on one of the shows, said that she in one day through that method of that way, got seventy thousand dollars out of God. That if I recall the mailman and everone else was coming to her doorstep. In another one was that this lady and gentlman was rubbing the anointed stuff all over the body where their was pain and it would go away. They kind a reminded me of informational commercials which are seen at that time on most stations.

Despite Hudlin taking over the network a few years ago, BET is still a half way house for those preachers who are rejected by mainstream christian televison. The Word network does this stuff too, accepting those preachers who sell their wares.
