Ok, I wasn't really sure where to put this thread, but decided music because he has done some great Christian Parody songs. How many are fans of him? He is my favorite Christian Comedian! He has done such songs as: *Some Other Time, Some Other Place (A duet With Sandi Patty, which is about her not singing a song with him, lol!) *Baby, Baby, Why Not Me (A parody of Amy Grant's Baby Baby.) Other bits that I like by him are: Him talking to his baby nephew talking about how we won't appreciate it! Mama's On Hold is another favorite of mine. And of course I like his thing about his brother being a dentist and the teeth that he made him as well.

I have always been a fan of him and his family. Did you know he also wrote "Mary Did You Know"?

The only version of "Mary, Did You Know?" that I am overly familiar with is Royal Anguishes death metalish version ... I like it quite a bit.

<3 Mark Lowry! But I can't believe y'all aren't bashing him for being unoriginal, cookie-cutter, or a cheap knockoff of Weird Al. I thought all Christian music was lame?

I love Mark Lowry! I especially love his "God Likes Hyperactive Kids." There's humor there, but boy does it say a lot! Most of his humor is that way--very pointed, and that's what I like so much about it. Some of his song parodies he used to do aren't like that so much, but when he talks, it is!

I love Mark Lowry, too. I love it when he and Bill Gaither are appearing together on something and how he always makes fun of Bill's hair. He just seems like a really fun guy. I have his "Mouth in Motion" CD. On that one, there's "The Date Adventure" (parody of Steven Curtis Chapman's "The Great Adventure") and one that is really funny is "Face in this World" (parody of Michael W. Smith's "Place in this World") where he is trying to find a plastic surgeon to give him all these characteristics of CCM singers (he wants Carman's eyebrows, but a bit more overgrown, among other things). And a non-parody song on there is called "First Class, Wrong Flight" and it is really funny, about him being excited to get a first class seat and then he finds out he is not even on the right flight.

Mark's first two comedy CDs were awesome, then he went off on the Weird Al, schtick (and yes, he WAS a 2nd rate Weird Al), and from there to just making jokes at Bill Gaither's expense (which got old FAST). Yeah, I'll stick to the first two CDs, anything after that was forgettable....

I actually have the first 2 albums on cassette instead. Other than buying Mouth In Motion, I never really did continue to buy any of the other stuff at all. I did recently get his compilation CD however.

I love Mark Lowry!!! I have his tape that he made with the gaithers, the best of Mark Lowry. The first time we sat down and watched that we laughed so hard it hurt. I cried from laughing so hard. Ma ma's on the phone is way too funny too. I think the other one I have is 20 stories tall and that one is on it. I try not to watch him too much so we can watch again and still get a good laugh.

He's hilarious. I've been watching/listening to his stuff since I was a teenager. Wow. Apologetix is another great parody group (they just do parodies though).
