This thread is for men named Mike...and the women who admire them!

I happen to love men named Mike. Manly and sensitive all rolled into one.

So Mikes and their fan club, WELCOME!

(sorry, no Bobs allowed)

Every one of them is extremely quick-witted, funny and intelligent, too.

I've never met a Mike I didn't like.

My son-in-law's name is Mike and he's a sweetheart. Exactly the kind of man I wanted my daughter to marry. Wouldn't trade him for anything.

Hubby's good buddy's name is Mike and he's hilarious. He's a big German guy and (before I got to know him) I always thought he'd be intimidating and ill-humored, but he's hilarious.

I can think of at least one more Mike that I have become very fond of, though I've never met him in person. I know lots of people on here feel the same way, but I'm not sure it would be wise to share that information with him.

I quite agree. I was amused when 2 of my friends here at CW had the name Mike. But now I've come to expect it.

My wife has always had a fondness for Mikes. Different ones were a part of her life since early childhood.

She accidentally dumped baked Alaska on the tux of her prom date Mike.

Once upon a time in a land far away I liked Mikes. So much that all the guys I dated seemed to be named Mike.

But I had to give them up. After all, it wasn't fair to the non-Mikes. Or, maybe it wasn't fair to hog all the Mikes for myself

Ah, Mikes. Some fond memories there

One of my boyfriends was named Mike.

It did not start well (he said really snotty, "So are you going to go out with me or not??!" like and idiot, I did...)

It did not continue well (he was obsessed with making sure I didn't smile or greet strangers, and he was just a jerk all around)

It did not end well (he showed up at my workplace to bug me and try to get me to reconsider him)

And to top it all off, he was not anywhere near as handsome as Bert on Sesame Street.

MindySue, you undoubtedly encountered one of the dastardly "faux Mikes" who occasionally try to pass themselves off as a real Mike.

Mike Tyson

Not that I have ever met him, fortunately.

But all the Mike's around here are good guys.

Does anyone know a woman that goes by Mike?
