With the foundations of the earth being shaken, why is an understanding of Christ as Sabbath so important? Does Paul's statement in Acts 17, where he said, "In Him we live and move and have our being" have any bearing on the doctrine of Christ as Sabbath? What do you understand the phrase, "In Christ", to mean?

In what real sense has Christ become our Sabbath? In Him we find the promised rest of the Sabbath. Peace

In context this has no meaning toward the sabbath but as children of God. Just as my children live, move and exist (me and my wife+Gods gift of them) It is also a quote from a Cretan poet that those at the Areopagus would be familiar with, and the refrence to poets in the latter of that verse. The poets name was Epimenides

Oh Brother Todd what does Hebrews 4 talk about when it is talking about rest (sabbath). Doesn't Jesus ak us to take is yoke learn from him and enter is rest. Just one more thought to this would be. When I come to my wits end I need to rest on his ways as the writer in Proverbs stated and not to my own understanding. But in all things acknowledge him and he will guide our path.
