I wrote a first verse and chorus and last year and then nothing, and just recently after more than a year I added to/completed it
I Know SHe's Waiting for me
1st verse
The days go by untangled, she's not yet heaven sent
exisiting in a convoluted state that looks content
free of all exorbitant and unrelenting pains
that only hearts that fall apart and sumersault can claim
I fluctuate between the worlds of peacufulness and rain
feeling that my future hope of romance lies in vain
There's still a gentle voice that whispers up above the dim
The timing of the Lord is perfect, Blessed are all who wait for him
Chorus
Even though my eyes of human weakness
often fail to see
that the Lord of all the Earth and sky
has a perfect plan for me
though the details of my life
are nothing like I thought they'd be
There's a certain truth that permeates
the deepest part of me
I know deep down---way down in my heart
I know she's waiting for me
2nd Verse
My hope is getting mangled, it's swaying to and fro
From every situation where the Lord keeps saying no
If I start to feel as if my time has finally come
and who I see in fron of me could maybe be the one
my heart surrenders to the myth that God hasd passed me by
silent to the deafening that marks my own heart's cry
It's true the Lord is not witholding any precious thing
If it is written in his will, then definately he will bring
Chorus

This is really, really good! Did you write it for someone in particular or did you just write it?

Yes, you do! I write songs too, but haven't ever put any of them to music...yet!
Okay, but was it about a certain girl is what I meant, or did you just write it for the girl you will one day meet?
I've written songs about my future husband, even though at the current time I am not dating anyone!

I wrote the first part last year. It just represented my state of mind at the time. The 2nd verse i wrote fairly recently , just expressing what was inside of me about situations the Lord has allowed me to be in, where I could be and was interested in people(romantically) , which I always ended not being someone they were interested in. Hope I said that right.

You totally said that right, I think sometimes God wants us to learn to be COMPLETE in Him before we can truly love another person, I too am waiting for the right one and it seems like writing just relieves some of the pressure from my heart...
Keep writing though, because you really do have a gift for it!
