WASHINGTON — A powerful new lobbying force is coming to town: Barack Obama's triumphant army of 3.1 million Internet-linked donors and volunteers. In a mass e-mail thanking them, written moments before his Grant Park victory speech, Obama put them on notice. "We have a lot to do to get our country back on track, and I'll be in touch soon about what comes next," he wrote. more HERE

He is going to need a lot of people to create excuses for why life isn't getting better under his administration.

Excellent point Jhud, it will not take long for the followers to realize they still have to make house payments, buy groceries, and do other non-Obama rhetoric type things. I just wonder how many months (Years) they can keep blaming things on Bush. Thanks RC

It's already started when today on Oprah it was said that we need to "Please be patient with this President; he has a big mess to 'mop up.'" That will be the default excuse for little to no improvement, "Things are soooo bad that it will take even longer to fix the problems." The Obamatons will believe that, but for how long?

Didn't Clinton do exactly that when he took office? I don't remember, but probably. And the Bushites have been blaming Clinton for the last 8 years. See above....

But make no mistake, there's plenty to blame Bush for and when obama leaves office, there will probably be plenty to blame him for as well, depending on how you feel about what he did or didn't do. But seriously, we really do need to get past this blame game. ALL OF US.

Ok, I got my joke out of the way but in seriousness the "internet masses" point of view can definitely play out the worst of of mob mentality as people will often voice views and values they would never claim if put face to face with others. Should of censorship -- my views online and offline match and trying the best I can to match God's word. One thing Obama's organization did very well during his campaign (to the chargins of his opponents) is utilized interactive media/technology well. To his credit understanding this new medium and the potential dangers as well as potential benefits is a good thing. Problem is with all this interconnectivity is it's allowing those such as organized crime to network and work together...Our nation needs a strong leader with backbone to make sure this "Wild Wild West" (.www) doesn't get out of control and certainly not controlled by a small elite. Just my thoughts. How Pres. Elect Obama handles these kind of issues will tells us a lot of who he is as a leader.

They'll believe it for as long as Obama tells them to believe it. Sad. :( quote:

PO only won with slightly over 50% of the vote. That is not a mandate but he seem's arrogant enough to try and govern as if he were elected in a landslide. If he does, it will backfire on him. He will galvanize the polarization of our society. The loyal opposition will not be intimidated. There are just about as many of us as there are of them... and I think once he get's started he will lose a % of his support. In two years the republicans will gain seats in both the house and senate. Until then we have to fight everything in every way. We MUST support our conservative leaders and encourage them to stand! J

They blamed Bush for a hurricane, for Pete's sake. Of COURSE everything is going to be Bush's fault. They will probably accuse him of building a time machine and going into the future just to trip up lord Barack Obama the most merciful before he even arrives.

ORIGINAL: relady NO. They blamed Bush for the lack of assistance from the feds AFTER the hurricane. Silly. The problem was that the media failed to highlight the reason for the delay. That would be the total incompetence of Governor Kathleen BlanKo (D) who did not sign the paperwork to get the federal response started.
