I played in high school and our team was good and it was fun. Then I hardly ever played again!

Well just bought the boys tennis rackets and the whole family has been going out at night to play. It's been great!

I rather enjoy tennis, although my wife hates it, and when I say hates it, I don't know that hates it is strong enough of a word. Well anyway, I didn't have tennis in the school I attended, I grew up in "farmville, IN" a/k/a Greensburg, IN and went to a very small school. I had to travel to Indy to meet up with fellow tennis players...

Actually, funny story, there is a tournament in Indy that used to be called the "RCA Tennis Championships" now it is just the "Indianapolis Tennis Championships" Well, I used to be a ballboy there, back in the day of Andre Agassi, Boris Becker, Pete Sampras, Jim Courier, ya' know, back in tennis' highlight years, now-a-days they don't attract as many highly seeded and well known players, well anyway on with the funny story. I was a ballboy for a Sampras match with some low seeded player, it was the early rounds and ya' know that you have to stand absolutely still. Well, Pete Sampras served up one of his very well known serves, (he was known for the power and speed of a serve) and needless to say, IT WAS AN ACE! In more ways than one. But, I couldn't move, or I could be kicked off of the the squad. Needless to say, it was painful. OUCH! Oh my, the memories...

Good times... goooood times.

I played a bit in high school and I enjoyed it. I still like it but only play for a bit of excersise and fun. I have a tennis partner who I get together with now and then after work in summer or weekends for a bit of a hit. I don't think we have played more than one proper game we just like to hit the ball and talk a bit as we go. I find it's really enjoyable that way.
