Hi, I'm Judy. I live in southern Australia. I'm a school teacher, a part-time preacher, writer and mum and grandma. I hope to be able to participate in some good discussions and to offer support if I can.

He is a fairly well known Harpsichordist (Bach is his specialty) by the name of Peter Watchorn. He lives in the US now but goes back to Australia several times a year. Also, just a few days ago I ran into a family at the grocery store also from...New Castle!!! They were headed to Niagra Falls and spent a few weeks traveling around the country. Welcome...I'm fairly new also...and causing trouble on certain threads!

It's got a much warmer climate too. Thanks for the welcome.... I appreciate it.

G'day Judy, and welcome to Crosswalk! I know a woman from outside the Sydney area, and met her when she was vacationing in the States back in '07. Her name is Penny W. and she leads the Australian division of Overcomers Outreach, a network of Christ-centered 12-step support groups for Christians struggling with alcoholism, codepedency and addictions of all kinds. She herself is a recovering alcoholic in AA and considers it her ministry to help others in the church who suffered like she did. Overcomers Outreach Australia is like Rick Warren's Celebrate Recovery, but is much smaller. You can find out more about Penny's ministry at www.overcomersoutreach.net.
