I realize this is an embarrassingly basic question, but it's very difficult for me to do something without clear, consise instructions. I want, and need, to draw nearer to Him, as Scripture says. This year has been amazing -- amazingly difficult and tumultuous, but ultimately, His glory has been more evident in my life than ever. My faith has definitely grown; He's been teaching me to walk strictly by faith, not by my own human reason. Because of this, I've been much more cognizant of God and His ways; it seems like I now view life through a God-filter. I talk to Him very often, saying my longer prayers in the morning and evening, and discussing random things with Him throughout the day. I've also started true, genuine worship, both at church & on my own. Last night I opened the Bible and just started reading. I go to church every Sunday, then purchase the DVD and/or CD to watch or listen to throughout the week. I also try to read different books to learn and help me grow in my walk with God. However, since I don't have a strong foundation in the Word (something I'm hoping to change very soon), I don't know in what ways He want us to draw closer to Him? I'm doing all I know to do; is there more I can try? I love Him so much and have a sincere interest in spending time with Him; my worship just never seems sufficient! Any advice at all would be greatly appreciated!
