Hi Catherine!

I saw this in latest posted threads before you posted the link and all but panicked, thinking I'd been missing out!

Congrats again Christine and Cath with their current accomplishments!

How do like your new home Cath? Is it bigger? The same?

I do like my new place. It is bigger. It will feel even bigger if I can ever get all these boxes unpacked so we can stop walking around them all the time.

My weekend:

Friday afternoon I went and got a pedicure to celebrate the warm spring day we were having. Got hot pink with a big white flower on the big toe. So pretty! The pedicure guy gave a great leg massage too!

Saturday was another great warm day. Matt and I took the Jeep and went "off roading" and wandered down the paths in the BLM land. The coolest thing was seeing a pack of about 10 mule deer hop across the road in front of us. They hop around almost like jack rabbits.

Then we went in to California and ate at a Mexican restaurant in a tiny little town called Springdale. It is a popular place for people to visit during motorcycle rides. The place smelled really good and the food was good too. I had tostadas and Matt had a chicken sandwich.

When we got home we were so tired. I said, "You know, if we were driving with a purpose today we could have been more than half way to Vegas by now."

Sunday we went to the circus with Matt's sister kids and Matt's parents (but not Matt's sister because she works on Sundays). It was actually my idea to go because I haven't been to a circus since I was in lower elementary school and I wanted to see one. The circus wasn't as good as I was hoping for. The best two acts were at the end: the elephants, and the people who rode motorcycles around a steel cage. The circus food was pretty good: we had cotton candy, a hot dog, and some pop corn. The kids got light up swords.

It is sooooooo cold today. I hate how the weather keeps flip-flopping back and forth. One day it is so sunny and warm and the next day has an icy cold wind. Maybe some day spring will decide to stay.

We went to Chili's for dinner. Started off by ordering my all-time favorite desert, the chocolate chip paradise pie. We eat it as an appetizer so we aren't too full to enjoy it. Then we split a combo of appetizers. Great healthy dinner ;)

And now tonight I am doing some cleaning. I cleaned the bathrooms, put in some laundry, and organized the walk-in closet so it is actually a walk-in closet again with the door being able to shut. When I am done with this post I plan to take all my books out of their box and put them back on the book shelf.

I am looking forward to watching our shows tonight (we watch them on DVR so we can skip the commercials). Sunday is my favorite night of TV. We watch Food Network Challenge, The Amazing Race, and Iron Chef. We also watch Chopped when there is an episode on that we haven't seen.

Today is the first time I have watched my hair since getting it chopped. I thought my hair would just hang down straight. Nope. The end very is very much flipped out, and I didn't do a thing to it except comb in downward. Odd. I am not sure if I like it or not. I shall have to see.

Tonight I am going out for an early birthday dinner with Matt's parents and sister. We are going to an Italian place.

Due to the fact that we do not get a change of seasons here. I really could not give a vote in your poll at this time.. However. "IF" I were living in Cleveland. I would say fall or winter. In the Summer it gets humid there.

I remember in Cleveland in the winter. Wondering if the car was going to start. That was after chiseling the ice off of the windshield and rear windows..

Nice new digs Catherine and Christine.

Hi Sharon!

Yes, he did! I'm so glad. I posted a picture somewhere in Sharon-Marie's thread. I don't know if you saw it or not. :)

Babies are exciting!

There are times I wish we had Autumn here and that all the mango trees would turn red and orange.

Well, we are leaving for vacation in about 16 hours! Woohoo! Keeping with tradition, I am packing when I should be sleeping the night before we leave. Ugh. And I have to get up ultra-early tomorrow and go to work when Matt does so that his car can stay at home.

I won't be online much in the next week.

Have a nice beginning of April, everyone!

Thanks, Kath!

~~~~~~~~~~~
Getting to work this early during a slow period is no fun. I am practically out of meaningful work to do, and it is only 10:30 AM. Geesh. What am I going to do until 4 PM when Matt gets off work? Take a reeaaalllllyyy long lunch break? I do have "down time" work to do, but it is not very fun stuff, like going through old files and shredding papers and stuff. Usually I go home early instead of doing such things.
I hope Princess will be OK while we are gone. Usually we take her to dog boarding with this very nice lady who lives on a mini-farm. But this time Matt's parents volunteered to watch her, and since their services are free, I agreed. I hope they don't make her stay outside practically all the time. Princess isn't much of an outdoor dog, and if she knowns someone is home, as soon as she gets bored of being outside she will bark practically non-stop until someone comes to get her.
Well, I guess that is all for now.
Well, we made it to the greater LA region. Google maps said it would take 8.5 hours to get here. We were hoping it would not take that long. It took us right at eight hours, and we did hardly any stopping. We stopped for like two minutes to switch drivers, stopped to get gas, then stopped to buy Subway which we ate while driving. Owell I guess. We made great time to Sacramento though. We left at 4:15 and we were to the edge of the Sacramento metro at 6:00, and to downtown Sacramento by 6:30. I drove for 221 miles, and then Matt drove the rest of the 340. I think that is the furthest I have ever drove in one sitting.
Geesh it is smoggy down here.
Wow! Good thing you didn't have to hit the brakes going downhill out of the mountains, that might have slowed you up a bit.
That's good to know (timing) When we were in LA one time someone told us it would take 12 hours to get from LA to San Francisco. I didn't look at a map to see how long it would actually take.
No way it takes 12 hours from San Fran to LA. It is only 380 miles, which would be 6 hours driving the speed limit.
I was hoping it would be really warm in LA. Today the high is only supposed to be 62* and some rain. But then again, the forecast for home is "wind, snow, and cold," so it could be worse. Tomorrow Anaheim is supposed to be 71*, so that will be good. That is shorts weather for us.
