Please use this thread to stalk, encourage, pray for, and cajole those expectant mothers whose babies' births are imminent.

Please do not start threads for individuals unless it is in the Personally For You folder.

This thread will be restarted monthly, so it should not get too long

This thread is not intended to be a duplicate of the pregnancy thread. Please use that thread to update us on your pregnancy issues.

This thread is for those who are about to walk out the door to have their baby. Once the baby is born the mother or her contact can post the birth announcement here and we can all offer our congratulations.

Due in August we have:

Kara (Karaboo2) due on August 15, 2008. She is expecting a baby boy. Her contact is Kim.

Megan (Yachaddm) is due August 28, 2008. She is also expecting a baby boy. Her contact is Ryanne.

And due in early Septmber we have:

Princess Donna... her due date is September 5, 2008. Her baby's gender will be a surprise to us.

Donna's contacts are Sandy and Sarah.

Yup! (Although if he does come that day, I wouldn't mind if he came either before or after the opening ceremonies of the Olympics, not during ... I kinda want to watch the show!)

I'd REALLY like him to get a move on ... I've been having steady contractions for well over a week, but they aren't close enough to warrant a call to my midwife. They stay between 15-20 minutes apart, and 20-30 seconds. As of this morning (I saw my midwife) I was at 3cm, -1 station, and 50% effaced ... I think I need to do a LOT more walking!!

Akeelah was born the day one of my favourite shows (that isn't on anymore) was airing a new special! I honestly said to my husband during labour "I hope she comes soon so you can go home and set the recorder for my show."

Stuff like that is fairly easy to remember. I have an uncle that was born on 5-5-55....so I always remember his birthday...even if I forget all of my other relatives' birthdays!

Yeah ... seems he didn't want a memorable date.

So now we're trying to convince him to come any day except this Thursday (it'll be his older brother's 3rd birthday, and Joseph probably won't wanna share the day!)

My brother wanted a little sister for his b-day and he got me. :) We are exactly 8 years apart.

Then I married a man who has the same b-day as me.

I can't seem to get this day for myself. LOL!

I already have decided that I am not going to try in Dec-Mar, to prevent a baby in the fall or Christmas time. But only God knows.

Emma came two days before Hannah's 4th birthday (they are both the week after Christmas...Emma the 27th, Hannah the 29th). It worked out that we came home in time for Hannah's birthday....lol
funny thing is, neither were due anytime around then...Hannah was induced 3 weeks early (medical induction so I didn't have much control over the timing) and Emma was nearly 43 weeks....so their due dates were actually 6 weeks apart....lol

Nasty flu-like bug has hit me and I feel totally yucky ... which is probably a good sign (I got sick a few days before I had each of my other four).

Sorry, I am just really trying to make Aug go by quickly. The kids go back to school on 8/25, so I keep hoping. HEHEHE!
