How about THIS one? No refined sugar, just honey sweetened.

I like to make tiny faux cheesecakes by smoothing a chocolate graham cracker with lowfat cream cheese and topping with a strawberry. You can use any graham cracker flavor, and lowfat cream cheese flavor, and a thin slice of any fruit to mimic any cheese cake you like. You can also offer a drizzle of syrup for those ladies not watching their sugar. You could also do a fruit plate and offer a lower sugar cookie like ginger snaps or Lorna Doones. You can make a sugar free dessert by using sugar free pie fillings or sugar free jello or sugar free pudding. I don't know if artifical sweetners are a problem for you. Personally, I don't advocate their use except on rare occasions, like a party, but that's just me. At kraftfoods.com there are loads of icebox pie desserts that could be amended with sugar free ingredients. Here's a search I did for you. You could also make smoothies using milk, frozen fruit, nuts, and vanilla. Combine all ingredients except the fruit in the blender and blend until smooth. Then add the fruit until you get the consistancy you like. I normally do 2 cups of milk for a 16 oz bag of fruit, which makes about 4 cups of smoothie. For a dessert, I'd serve either 1/2 cup or 1 cup servings for each lady. Make sure to have straws if you make them as thick as I do.

I second the idea of the Jello pudding pie Zippy recommended. We make ours low-fat, but you can buy the sugar free one instead. Graham Crackers are low in sugar, and you can top it with artifically sweetened whipped cream or Cool Whip. You can get the chocolate flavor and put sliced bananas on it or raspberries. Or, you can get the banana flavor and put bananas on it. You can even buy the tiny little graham cracker crusts so each person can have their own little pie. I also watched Monamie make that struesel on TV, and it looks devine!

I have made this for several occasions- both male and female friends have loved it. 1 pint raspberry sorbet- softened 1 c cold fat free milk 1 4 oz pkg jello instant pudding (vanilla -or I have used white chocolate) 1 8 oz container cool whip 1 cup raspberries line a loaf pan with foil or plastic wrap, leaving enough to come up sides and fold over top when filled. spread softened sorbet in bottom of pan (on top of foil) put cold milk in bowl and wisk pudding into it (wisk about 2 minutes) -fold cool whip into pudding mixture. spread coolwhip/pudding mixture on top of sorbet and freeze about 3 hours. slice and serve with raspberries over top. It is a nice "lite", and refreshing summer dessert.

You're welcome! I'm going to put that orange cream pie on the backburner for the next time I need a dessert. I think dh would really like it.
